RIO SANTIAGO NATURE RESORT GUIDED NATURE TRAIL HIKE

A guided hike along Rio Santiago’s nature trail is a wonderful introduction to tropical ecosystems and the Honduran rain forest.

Our locally trained guides are well versed in Pico Bonito National Park’s diverse flora and fauna.  Their knowledge, along with the area’s spectacular views and pristine setting, ensure an authentic and rewarding experience.   Our bird and butterfly rich nature trail ascends lush, secondary forest and open areas before winding its way through dense tropical rain forest.

The entire route may take two hours at an easy hiking pace and passes by secluded, crystal clear mountain streams; perfect for bathing or just cooling off.

Moderate steepness and abundant flora and fauna make this a great hike for everyone from serious birdwatchers to families.
